ROUNDUP: Ellis leads Red Devils past Bedford, 10-0

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Jeffersonville’s Drew Ellis had himself a day.

The All-State senior led the Red Devils to a 10-0 victory of Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday by throwing a two-hit shutout and going 2-for-3 with a pair of extra-base hits.

Ellis got the start on the hill for Jeffersonville and tossed a gem. He went all five innings and held Bedford scoreless and struck out five, surrendering two walks on his way to his third victory in four decisions.

Ellis also had success at the plate with a double and a triple.

Drew Campbell reached base three times, going 2-for-2 and collected a walk. He scored twice, including the run that ended the contest on Jeremiah Phelps single, and drove in two runs for the scorching Jeff offense.

Chandler Dale went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Ian Ellis was 1-for-2 and scored twice. The Red Devils had no trouble scoring as they were able to plate at least one run every inning.

The victory moves Jeffersonville to 7-4 on the season. It hosts Louisville Eastern on Monday.
